 Please set aside a date in your calendars for our upcoming GAA End of Year Dinner Dance, the details of which are as follows: -

 Day/date: Thursday, June 3rd.

Location: Emirates Ballroom, 7th Floor, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Hamdan Street, Abu Dhabi.

 Timings: 7:00 – 8:00 Reception Drinks

              8:00 – 11:00 Main Meal and Awards Presentation

              11:00 - 2:00 DJ

 Dress: Suit and Tie

 There will be an Open Bar from 7:00 pm – 2:00/2:30 am which is included in the price of your ticket.

 At the moment I am just finalising costs with The Hotel so once that’s done I’ll send out a further e-mail with details of ticket prices and when we plan on holding a box office for this event (in all likelihood the box office will be early next week but I’ll send out a further e-mail in the next day or two to confirm).

Karen proved herself to be a very popular winner of the Abu Dhabi heat two weeks ago and if she performs to that same level I’m sure we’ll all be seeing her in the Na Fianna colours on stage in Tralee in a couple of months time.

 The Dubai Rose Ball will be held this coming Friday, May 21st at the Joharah Ballroom, Mina A’Salam starting at 7.30pm. We are delighted that The Celtic Tenors will be hosting the evening kindly brought to you courtesy of Dubai Duty Free.

From today, Sunday 9 May, the Embassy of Ireland in Abu Dhabi will be processing passport applications for both normal and emergency passports. The processing time for full passports is currently approximately six to eight weeks.

Passport application forms are available for collection from the Embassy in Abu Dhabi, from the Irish Facilitation Visa Office in Dubai and from DHL offices in the region.

Details on all passport application requirements can be found on the Department of Foreign Affairs’ website at http://www.dfa.ie/home/index.aspx?id=253. Should you have any queries that are not covered on the website please do not hesitate to contact the Embassy.
